5th June 2004

CLT organized a discussion and documentary viewing at its 'Resource Center' in Jakkur in association with the Rainwater Club. The discussion was on the world environmental day theme 'wanted dead or alive: Seas and Oceans'. A painting competition for the children was also arranged. 62 children took part in the competition. 200 saplings were distributed among children to take home and plant at their homes.

Resources Aqua International
Network ( r.a.i.n ) is informally
inaugurated in association with
the Rainwater club and WeP peripherals ltd.


4th July 2004

First Plumbers training Workshop
conducted by r.a.i.n In view of the growing demand from the aspiring citizens who want to take up the Rooftop rainwater harvesting it is felt that there is need for skilled plumbers to install the system. r.a.i.n has set to train 100 plumbers and maintain a database on them.







17th July 2004

Oasis International School children
visit r.a.i.n and undergo a water
workshop.
The goal of the 'Water Workshops' with children from schools is to make schools 'Water Literate'.

The young citizens who are tomorrows decision makers are given an insight into the magnitude of the water related
issues/problems and simple solutions to with it. They are to imbibe this idea,
get back to their respective schools, spread the message and make their schools 'Water Literate'.

to r.a.i.n for water workshop

 



Events Coming up……

- In fourth week of August RotaryInternational brings 200 children   from two   schools to r.a.i.n for water workshops.
- In September a workshop for Architects and Builders on Rainwater Harvesting   is being organised.
- In December Singapore International Foundation (SIF) comes to r.a.i.n SIF will   join hands with r.a.i.n to take up awareness on water issues in schools,  corporates, slums, industries,
 NGO's, CBO's etc.
